I love working with the Rockwool Foundation. Their research projects are always an interesting look into the challenges surrounding welfare, society and possible solutions.

The findings are often conceptual and hard to concretise. Which makes it both exciting and challenging to illustrate.

For instance, how do you illustrate a system?
Something, which at once is both incredibly specific and vague.

The client and I chose to focus on the people, for whom the system should exist.
The system is visualised as a changeable pattern of malleable but diverse cut-out shapes, set alone, to represent a specific feature, or together in a pattern, to show complexity.

These rough, cut-out shapes highlight different parts of the innovation effort, but the people are always front and center.
